Early October I was lucky enough to look through Walter and Doris Robinson’s family album to share in the hope of being able to identify. Always an opportunity to reminisce for the older Robinson/Holt’s. Discovering the older photos adds a few more pieces to our photographic history, however most were without names. Most of photo’s were easy for Dorothy’s children to work out, leaving a handful without names.
- A large framed photo – has always hung in Doris’ home and quite possibly Doris, wonder if any of the family may know……..
- This gorgeous little girl’s photo was first seen in Walter and Doris’ album unnamed and no idea who it could be, until a few weeks after scanning the photo I met the daughter of this little girl – while looking through her photo’s I recognised her from Walter’s – she is Dulcie May Parkinson, daughter of Walters eldest first cousin Elizabeth Holt, eldest daughter of John and Mary Anne Holt (Akerman). Beautifu being able to put a name to a face.
- Two girls and 3 boys – is this the clue??
The following photos: no idea of who the child is.
- The same child on the left
- Again the same quite distinctive child – do the curls give him away?
These last few photo’s remain a complete mystery – so we wait and see if they too may be solved in a way similar to Dulcie Parkinson.
- Is this Ivy Cook, Uncle Eric’s first wife?
- No name on back, and no clue.
- Initially thought was Henry Collis – a closer comparison decided not, so who are they…..
- Another post card photo – who is Ernest Walter Smith? a friend of Walter’s
- I wonder who they are – a post card to Walter and Doris.
- Taken during the birding season – probably Walters shed on Big Dog………
- Not on Flinders for a few reasons, the road and background…….
